Adele Enlists Phil Collins to Help Write For Her Next Album

"Rumour Has It" that Adele has been working on her follow-up album since last April, and former Genesis star Phil Collins confirmed that he will be contributing to it.

Collins said in an interview with Inside South Florida that he had no idea who Adele was when he first heard word that she wanted to work with him. After hearing her voice, he agreed to help with the record. "I've just started to work with Adele. She contacted me to write together,” said Collins. “I wasn't actually too aware (of her). I live in a cave.”

We'd have to agree with Collins’ latter statement since the fellow British artist has had such outstanding success in recent years. At the last 56th Annual Grammys in January 2014, Adele won Best Song Written for Visual Media for the James Bond film ‘Skyfall.’ Since 2009, she has won 9 other Grammys out of 13 nominations. In 2012, she became the second female artist to win six awards in one night.

Quite a bit has changed for the singer-songwriter since she released her debut album ’19,’ in 2008 then second hit record ’21.’ Now the Grammy star is 25 years old and married with her first child. Adele stepped out of the spotlight after the birth of her son Angelo in October 2012 before starting work on this newest album.
