To put it kindly, the large brown “statement hat” that Pharrell has been seen wearing to lavish events like the Grammys and the NBA All-Star Game is now available for purchase.
Pharrell is auctioning off the Vivienne Westwood cap on eBay (highest bidder currently at a modest $10,500!) with all proceeds going toward his charity he founded in 2008 called From One Hand to Another. The organization aims to help children “by giving them the tools and resources to meet their unique potential.”
The “mountain” hat, as it is described, took social media by storm after Pharrell first wore the piece at the 2014 Grammys. The fast food chain Arby’s even tweeted him about it, asking, “Hey Pharrell, can we have our hat back?” since it resembles their giant logo. The artist finally responded yesterday after it went up online saying, “Hey Arby’s, you want my hat? Now’s your chance.”

The auction closes on March 2, the day before Pharrell is set to release his first record in eight years ‘G I R L’ on March 3. His reps tell Billboard that there’ll be even more eBay promotions surrounding the album release, so stay tuned if the hat price was a bit too steep!
