Chris Martin of Coldplay demonstrated solidarity in the rock community at Coldplay's New York City concert at the Beacon Theatre, dedicating his somber and beautiful hit, 'Fix You,' to Mick Jagger.
Martin's dedication alluded to the March suicide of Jagger's longtime girlfriend, Fashion designer L'Wren Scott. A memorial for the designer was held last week in New York.
Martin is facing heartache these days, himself, as he separates from his wife of almost ten years, Gwyneth Paltrow. The audience calls of support Martin received throughout his performance suggested the singer had enough sympathy to share with Jagger.
Other highlights of his concert include a never before heard track called "True Love" from Coldplay's upcoming album, "Ghost Stories." Martin requested no one film the performance claiming, "Sometimes you have to keep things to yourself."
