We are committed to developing talent and interest in our industry and provides internship opportunities in radio promotions for student interns. An internship at Clear Channel can provide you the chance to explore your career interests, acquire marketable job skills while "learning the ropes" of the industry, establish professional contacts, and gain practical work experience. Our internships offer meaningful educational and work experiences designed to meet the academic and career goals of the intern. Our management will teach and encourage, but it's up to the student to bring an enthusiasm to learn. Because internships at Clear Channel are learning experiences, they are unpaid.

Clear Channel Media + Entertainment (KFAN, KDWB, K102, Cities 97, KOOL 108 and KTLK) currently has internship positions open in the Promotions Department for Fall 2014. The internship requires 10-15 hours per week and must be taken for course credit. Clear Channel Media + Entertainment Promotion internships are perfect for college students looking to gain experience in Radio Promotions, Marketing, P.R., or Communications.

Intern responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Contesting / Merchandising
Public Relations / Client Relations
Promotional Event Planning and Implementation
Concert and Major Sporting Event Promotions
Working with Programming and On-Air Talent
Live Remotes / Broadcasts

Clear Channel Media + Entertainment Promotion Internships are unpaid. They must be taken for class credit. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an educational institution and provide an internship letter and current transcript. Students in their junior or senior year in college are preferred but not required. Scheduling is flexible, with convenient weekday, night, and weekend hours. « Morning Show Internship »


This internship is perfect for students who desire to experience the fast paced and creative world of radio production. You will be working on the Cities 97 Morning Show. The hours are be flexible to a degree, but ideally they are from 6-9am, Monday through Friday. Adjustments can be discussed.

This Morning Show production internship duties will include, but are not limited to:

-Running various production programs.
(You will gain hands on experience with NextGen Digital, Adobe Audition/Soundbooth, Blogging tools, etc).
-You will search for, refine, and generate content in a fast paced environment.
-You will at times be responsible to review show content and conduct quality checks.
-You will take phones calls from listeners and directly represent the Morning Show and Cities 97.
-Potential on-air experience.

Clear Channel Radio Minneapolis currently has two different internship opportunities available in the Digital Department for Summer 2014.

The Journalism/Writing Internship requires 10-15 hours per week and must be taken for course credit. This internship is perfect for college students looking to gain experience in Journalism, Communications, and Marketing.

Journalism/Writing Intern responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Creating News Articles/Blogs for websites.
• Proofreading Current Site Content.
• Working with Programming and On-Air Talent.
• Creating and Editing Copy for Other Projects as Needed.
• Aiding in Administration of Social Media Sites.

The Graphic Design/Web Internship requires 10-15 hours per week and must be taken for course credit. This internship is perfect for college students looking to gain experience in Web Design, Graphic Design, and Video Production.

Graphic Design/Web Intern responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in Design Creation for Web and Print
• Assist Digital Team with Daily Site updates
• Working with Programming and On-Air Talent to Create Content
• Assist Digital Team with Video Production
• Aiding in Administration of Social Media Sites.

Clear Channel Internships are unpaid but are available for class credit. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an educational institution and provide an internship letter from said school. Current students in their junior or senior year in college are preferred but not required. Scheduling is flexible.
